Rules
During World War II food had to be strictly rationed, along with gasoline. A nationwide speed limit of 35 MPH was installed to prevent wear of tires. Rubber was in high demand, and needed for the war. People turned in rubber tires, coats, hoses, and boots for rubber. Gasoline was given in coupons, which you could use during a week to get gasoline for mandatory activities with a car. Truck drivers could buy all they needed.
